ABOUT AKBAR (A.K)
Akbar Hassim’s journey is a testament to the power of personal transformation, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of growth. Today, he is deeply engaged in multiple Personal Development and Human Potential programs through the Proctor Gallagher Institute, including the 12-Month Bob Proctor Coaching Program, the Proctor Gallagher Inner Circle, the Seven-Figure Self-Image Mentoring Program, and several advanced self-study and elite curricula. These environments continually fuel his desire to expand, contribute, and live a life of purpose and impact.
Akbar’s path, however, did not begin with privilege or certainty. Abandoned at birth and found on a doorstep, he was adopted into a loving family yet grew up without knowing his biological parents. The emotional complexity of his early story shaped much of his childhood—marked by rebellion, anger, resentment, and the internal struggle of identity.
Growing up in modest circumstances, Akbar learned the value of work early. Weekends, holidays, and after-school hours were filled with any job he could take on from as young as eleven years old. He recalls:
“I worked any job I could. I built many businesses and failed at an equal number. I was never afraid to try, to take risks, or to find a way to earn. I packed shelves, carried boxes, handed out pamphlets, sold products on street corners, built computers, did direct marketing, launched my own bottled water brand, worked as a personal trainer, sold in corporate, imported and distributed cellular phones, ran a trucking and logistics business - and the list goes on. Today’s kids will never understand the lengths we had to go to, or the age at which we had to start.”
Those formative years forged the mindset that defines Akbar today.
He now lives the life he once only dreamed about—doing meaningful work, collaborating with people he admires, and dedicating himself to making a measurable impact in the world. Guided by purpose and an unwavering commitment to continual growth, Akbar aspires to inspire and uplift millions. His daily immersion in the teachings of the Proctor Gallagher Institute provides him with profound, life-changing ideas that shape his mission and vision.
